Biography
Rachel was born and raised in a small town called Clinton, Indiana under the roof of film lovers. She grew up watching any and every kind of movie you could think of. Some family favorites for example are Blade Runner, Stripes, Airplane, and The Great Race. Her parents were such fans of Blade Runner they were inspired to name her Rachel after Rachael. Thankfully this was a wise choice for her parents as it turned out to be her favorite movie. She considers it to be a legitimate classic with gorgeous cinematography and a moving commentary on humanity and life.
Her love of acting started when a community theater opened in her hometown. She jumped at the chance to audition and landed a role as The White Queen in their production of Alice in Wonderland. She quickly became a staple of her local theater and starred as The Velveteen Rabbit, Raggedy Anne, and as Anelle in a production of Steel Magnolias . She wasn't just a diva star, however, she also served as a member of their board in high school.
After high school she attended Purdue University where she continued to act and serve as a leader. Her senior year she was voted to be President of Alpha Psi Omega, a nationally recognized academic theater fraternity. Her favorite production while there was Road, where she played a shy young English girl named Louise. The monologue she delivered as Louise is one of her favorites to this day.
Following graduation from Purdue she was recruited by the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) in Santa Maria, CA to join their '09 conservatory class. In her two years there she not only worked on her craft but understudied professional actors as well. To complete graduation every class member is cast in either a musical or a classic play. For her graduating class she was honored with the delicious role of the older Queen Margaret in Shakespeare's Henry VI parts 1-3. A very challenging and rewarding role she'll remember forever.
Rachel had always assumed she would end up in Chicago or New York City, but PCPA had made her fall in love with California. After graduation she made the move to Los Angeles to pursue film.
Since then she has done many short films as well as co-starring in the film The Paper Boat now available on Amazon.
She excels in playing the girl next door with a slight edge and has been compared to Michelle Williams which she believes to be an accurate representation. She loves working with all different types of artists and has been known to be professional, flexible, and easy to work with.
